Designed by composer and producer, Gary Gibbons, at the Professional Music Foundry recording facility in Hong Kong, this sound set provides a solid foundation for producing many types of basslines and dark soundscapes by using the Padshop audio engine.
Q: What styles of music can I produce with Granular Bass Guitar?
A: With this expansion pack, you can easily produce country, blues, R&B, pop, rock and metal, as well as gothic rock soundtrack compositions. One of the special features of this expansion pack is the traditional granular synthesis patches that features zombie/horror soundscapes and tempo-synced grunge. It’s a perfect solution for horror and industrial rock producers.
Q: Can you describe a bit more about the Synth Comp patches?
A: Sure! Here is an example of one of the Synth Comp patches. As you can see below, the preset called "Split Overdrive Bass Guit" has two layers. Layer (A) is a sample of a bass guitar with an overdriver effect and Layer (B) is a sample of a guitar with distortion. Layer (A) and (B) are split by using the key follow functions so that the user can play basslines and guitar leads with one preset.
